How to add and create Jira issues on a board?

Creating and accessing your Jira issues on a board helps avoid busy work and switching between different tools to transfer information. 

There are 6 ways in which you can add Jira issues to a board: 

  • Convert objects (shapes, cards, texts) into Jira issues,

  • Paste a link to a Jira issue anywhere on the board,

  • Import issues with an import zone (Pro plan feature), 

  • Drag and drop issues from the right-side menu,

  • Use the context menu to create or import issues (Whiteboards for Jira only),

  • Create new issues from the toolbar (Whiteboards for Jira only).
